Oddly enough, this review is not about a car repair, but about two very nice people who own and run Allbrand Auto Service. My wife and I were traveling from Boston to Charlottesville VA when our 14 year-old Mercedes broke down on the DC Beltway nearby. AAA towed our car to the shop (also AAA certified), and Gary was quite up front about the extent of the damage and repair which, briefly, was going to be equal to or more than the car was worth. Meanwhile, Debbie was talking to my wife and comforting her in what was a stressful situation. They helped us get a rental car an stayed in the shop long enough (this was on President's Day) for us to come and empty out our car. They also suggested a means of donating our car to charity since we knew then and there that we were going to need a new car. After we got home to Boston and got a new car, Debbie and Gary took care of the donation. This experience convinces me that all customers of Allbrand Auto Service will be treated fairly and sympathetically.
